BUNKED: A New Musical follows the story of 5 young summer camp counselors as they embark on their first taste of adulthood. Fatal secrets, impassioned jealousy and triangular love trysts surround the teenagers, all made more pressing as the end of the summer approaches.
Oliver
Oliver, the whip-tongued brother of Anabel is openly gay, full of bravado, and more than ready to embark on the next stages of his life. However, with his unique blend of sass and sincerity, Oliver first plans on taking Camp Timberlake by storm. Beneath the puckish exterior there’s a boy that’s just searching for something bigger.
Anabel
Anabel, the seemingly innocent sister of Oliver is looking for a way to break out of her shell and come into her own this summer. Armed with a can-do attitude, killer arts and crafts skills and limitless knowledge of talk-show minutiae, Annabel charms campers and counselors alike. While she excels in academics and individual pursuits, her social skills are lacking and it all comes to a head this summer.
Stewart
Stewart wants nothing more than to break free from his strict parents’ smothering clutches. Stewart’s a pleaser, which is ultimately his downfall and embroils him in a web of lies that he must untangle before the summer’s end. Extremely smart but lacking direction, Stewart hopes that his summer at camp will give him the strength to come clean to his parents, find his way in the world, and maybe even find love!
Carmen
Carmen, hailing from Queens, NY, arrives at camp shield up and ready to fight. Dubious from the onset, the other counselors hope that Carmen will come around so that she doesn’t ruin their summer. Underneath her tough exterior, however, there’s a girl struggling with her identity just as much as everyone else.
Max
Max’s fondest memories are of the summers he spent as a camper at Camp Timberlake and he hopes that he can recreate the magic this summer as a counselor. A little cheesy, but the nicest guy you’ll ever meet, Max takes a liking to Carmen and hopes that he can get her to realize how awesome the summer is going to be.
